A novel water capturing device made of crystalline material known as metal organic framework (MOF) consists of porous structures that are ideal for water storage. This enables the device to generate water even under low humid conditions and without any external power source. The water harvester can be used off grid even in arid and dry areas to produce drinking water for two people at a time. It is cost efficient and requires lower operational and capital expenditure as compared to conventional atmospheric water generation systems.
