1.North America has taken the lead in the development of EVTOLs. Vertical Flight Society, which is based in the US is the main organization that spearheads awareness and collaboration efforts on EVTOLs. There are vigorous research activities noticed in the region. The key innovators include Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of California. 2. Most of the research initiatives for the technology stem from government funding, partnerships with corporates and through company spin-off strategies from research institutions.
