Abundance or apocalypse? Molecular nanotechnology in the 21st Century

Proponents of molecular nanotechnology suggest it is only a matter of time before mol- ecular nanoproduction is a part of our world. To prevent abuses of this technology, to ensure the technology becomes not the sole domain of one group or power, an openness and cooperation in developing a functioning molecular nanosystem is urged. A public informed of the world and life-changing potential of molecular nanotechnology, and the dangers of the technology's possible misuse, are offered in this paper as a means of ensuring a policy of multilateral cooperation in the development and responsible application of molecular nanotechnology in the world.
