Integrity, fresh approach keys to more money

Understandably, one of the most popular lectures at a conference for money managers is how to attract more money to manage. February's Managed Funds Association (MFA) conference in Miami was no exception. Asset allocators Edward A. Rzeszowski of Merrill Lynch and Scott Copenhaver of Morgan Stanley led a roundtable discussion in front of a group of commodity trading advisors (CTAs) at the MFA conference on what they look for in investing funds. While both cited some of the more obvious performance measures―such as overall return, drawdowns, risk management procedures, diversification, transparency and consistency―they also are concerned with how the overall business is run, backup facilities and principal integrity.
