Lukken named CEO of NYPC

Walter Lukken was named chief execu-tive officer of New York Portfolio Clearing (NYPC). Previously he was senior vice president in the office of the general counsel of the NYSE and acting chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. "One of the chief trends in the financial-services sector is clearing. Through a horizontal clearing model, NYPC willrnpromote increased competition in the U.S. futures industry and greater transparency for both regulators and participants. I look forward to continuing to build on NYPC's strong progress toward a third quarter launch," Lukken says.
