MT: what is your specialization? TIMOTHY SUMMERS: Designing and exploiting complex systems, both technical and human. I specialize in understanding how people think and construct strategies, particularly hackers. This means that I am adept at risk identification, spotting unrecognized points of exposure and potential weaknesses within and outside of an organization. MT: WHAT IS AN "ETHICAL HACKER?" TS: The industry-accepted description of an ethical hacker is an individual employed by an organization and entrusted to penetrate networks and information systems using the same methods and techniques as an adversarial hacker. The common misconception is that ethical hackers focus purely on hacking from a technical perspective. I am an ethical hacker, but 1 hack people just as much as, if not more than, computer systems.
