Our election preview (see "Bizarro world election") broke down which market sectors would be affected by the possible outcomes and attempted to make sense of the strangest U.S. Presidential election in recent memory. Our analysts did pretty well. While broadly they acknowledged that markets were weary of a Trump victory - seeing it as a greater unknown - they expected Trump's pro-growth policies to eventually be positive for the market once the shock wore off. The market digested that all on one crazy night.
