COP: High-cost producer in competitive energy field

ConocoPhillips (COP) ranks as thelargest independent U.S. crude oilproducer.It announced preliminary 2017 provedreserves of 5.038 billion barrels of oilequivalent after asset sales of 1.904billion barrels of oil equivalents duringthe year. Reserves are widely scatteredin Alaska, the lower 48 states, Canada(mostly oil sands), the Asia Pacific MiddleEast region focused on liquefied naturalgas, and in the North Sea and Libya.
