Futures beyond disruptions Methodological reflections on scenario planning

Be it on the stage, in literature or music, the true meaning of the plays, tales or stories is often revealed in the disruptions in flow. These disruptions serve to capture the interest of the theatregoer, the readers or the audience. They raise doubts, even arouse emotions, positive or negative. Like the playwright, the futurist is also concerned with scenarios because something is happening there. The characters, some old, some new, act out a new story in a new setting. The scenarios appear like so many different plays, each respecting the three unities of classical theatre: the unity of time, place and action. The disruption would take place between two scenarios, thus between two futures, each characterised by a time, a place and an action.
