One of its pioneers isrnin jail, and another was sued successfully in civilrncourt following the death of a clinical trial subject.rnSkeptics like to point out that it has killedrnapproximately as many people as it has curedrnand, apart from two cancer gene therapiesrnapproved recently in China, there is little tornshow for nearly two decades of promises andrnexpensive research.
