The prospects of copper alloys for VNS applications

摘要

The center post (CP) is a critical component of the VNS spherical tokamak (VNS ST). DS and PH copper alloys are considered as candidate materials for the center post conductor. The behavior of the conductor materials under mechanical, thermal and radiation conditions peculiar to the CP structure is viewed and its life time is predicted.
