Role of triple grain boundary junctions in plastic deformation of two-dimensional aluminium polycrystals

A through opening ("pore") made in the triple grain boundary junction (TGJ) areas is shown to change essentially the local plastic deformation regularity in the TGJ area and failure character of the whole sample.
