Carbon credit bonuses available from a fluidised-bed combustor

An article in press with this journal and accessible via Science Direct [1] describes rice husk co-firing with coal in a 'ψ-FBC'. The paper originates in Thailand and the motive for co-firing with bio-mass appears to be utilisation of the country's immense agricultural waste and consequent reduction in usage of conventional fuels. The matter of carbon credits accruing from substitution of rice husk for coal is not considered in [1].
