The research group investigating 'Natural refrigerants for transport refrigeration units' proposes 21.0 m long articulated road trains and 17.9 m long semi-trailers

Frigoblock Grosskopf GmbH is currently investigating the use of natural refrigerants for transport refrigeration in collaboration with Brunswick University within the framework of a research project funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA). In this context, proposals were prepared regarding sustainability in temperature controlled transport and concrete proposals were made for the moderate increase of dimensions and weights in future truck trailer combinations. These proposals were then sent to the BMVBS (German Ministry of Transport).
