My rules for IT acquisitions

In my work as a rent-a-CIO, I come in contact with dozens of CEOs and presidents who are constantly challenged with making effective IT decisions. Unfortunately, CEOs, by and large, struggle with these decisions because they don't understand the technology and they don't want to. I understand the mindset completely. So I've started my own list of CEO Rules for IT Acquisition. Some are harsh, some are funny and some are just the facts of IT life.
