On the Realization of Second Order Current Mode Active Filters Using Single Differential Voltage Current Conveyor (DVCC)

A new configuration for the realization of current-mode single differential voltage current conveyor (DVCC)-based filters with high output impedance is presented. It can synthesise lowpass, bandpass and highpass filtering functions with a single DVCC connected to five passive RC one-port elements. However in all of the proposed filters only four of these passive elements are used. The pole angular frequency ω_o of the proposed filters can be adjusted without disturbing the parameter ω_o/Q. No component matching is required and all the sensitivities are low. SPICE simulation results are given to confirm the theoretical analysis.
