Entwurf von Datenleitungsfiltern fuer den CAN-Bus Design of CAN-Bus Data Line Filters

The design and the function of interference-filters are investigated, using the CAN-Bus as an example. With respect to signal integrity and EMC various aspects of the data transmission system are to be considered: the properties of the transceivers, the number and the lengths of the transmission lines, and the bus terminations. While the filters can be designed by classical methods, it is necessary to perform extensive simulations to examine the influence of the filters on the system behaviour. Taking into account all the relevant parameters in the calculations is of great importance. The simulations are carried out in modular form with the program SPICE.
