Reconfiguration Techniques to Enhance Network Efficiency

摘要

Tackling the lack of efficiency in radio resource usage, this paper proposes and initially investigates the concepts of Flexible Spectrum Management based on a Spectrum Pooling concept together with an approach toward Dynamic Network Planning and Management. The work reported is being under investigation in the IST project End-to-end Reconfigurability (E~2R), and the paper reports on the approaches and initial research work outlining the basic requirements as well as the system assumptions applied.
