UMTS/WLAN RF Receiver Studies for Reconfigurable Mobile Terminals

摘要

An overview on RF-front-end architectures and technologies for future reconfigurable mobile communication systems (4G-systems) is given. Favourable standard combinations are WCDMA and WLAN. With respect to reconfigurability three different system approaches are introduced and compared: switchable systems, systems with reusable components and systems with multifunctional components. Furthermore, RF front-end key components like low noise amplifiers, mixers, voltage controlled oscillators and baseband variable gain amplifiers are treated, particularly with regard to reconfigurable systems
