Multi-Domain Cognition for Cognitive Wireless Networks

摘要

Cognitive radio (CR) is a promising technology to improve the wireless spectrum utilization. The recent research of CR technology is extending from single radio domain environment to network domain environment, user domain environment and policy domain environment, which together form the multi-domain environment. To begin with, we introduce several key concepts as the preliminary knowledge of this paper. Next, we demonstrate a comprehensive theoretical framework of multi-domain cognition (MDC), in terms of connotation, three-layer framework and spatial model of MDC. Furthermore, the research challenges ahead are presented as well.
