Could WikiLeaks Really Take Down A Major Bank?

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is expected to release in early 2011 confidential documents obtained from a major bank that he says could sink the institution. I doubt it, as the Fed will do almost anything to prevent a big bank from failing. There has been lots of speculation that Bank of America is the specific target of the "mega-leak." Assange revealed in October 2009 that he held five gigabytes' worth of information on BofA. (That's the same year BofA acquired Merrill Lynch.) Assange has led us to believe the documents he's sitting on will be damaging to specific executives and individuals.
