You can wash down all you want, but like a kid in the back yard, things tend to get dirty again. That's why the innovation in antimicrobial protection from Habasit AG, Switzerland, is so intriguing. Habasit, with U.S. headquarters in Suwanee, Ga., has introduced two new measures for clean conveyor belting: HabaGuard, a conveyor belting containing an antimicrobial additive, and the Cleanline series, a new polymer for belts built with Habilene technology. The pair of offerings brings additional hurdles to microorganisms.
