As a healthful alternative to beef, the demand for bison has retailers and consumers stampeding for product. Even President George Bush is a fan, offering bison as a main course at his administration's first black-tie state dinner and advising the Bush Administration Weight Watcher's group to incorporate bison into their diets. To celebrate its 50th anniversary year, Abeles & Heyman Inc. (A&H) introduces the first kosher bison hot dog. Bison hot dogs are a part of A & H's new line of kosher bison deli products, which includes bison salami, knockwurst, corned beef and pastrami.
