Watching Marmite Jars whizz past at the rate ot knots is an automotive wonder. But the more you see those yellow caps pass by like a well-oiled steam train, the easier it is to take all the component parts of the machine for granted. And in an operation such as this, nothing should be taken for granted. One crucial part in any such operation is the vision and sensing system. These are usually the result of precision engineering and play a part in a chunk of the process, from scanning the labels and barcodes of products, such as Marmite bottles, to counting the objects on the conveying system.
