CEO Rosenfeld Retires, Van de Put to Mondelez

Irene Rosenfeld, CEO of Mondelez International since its creation, announced her intention to retire. Dirk Van de Put, current president/CEO of McCain Foods, has been hired to replace her as CEO in November, and he also will become chairman of the board on April 1, 2018, when she retires. Rosenfeld, 64, had been CEO of Kraft Foods since 2006 and chairman since 2007. She was the primary architect of splitting the company in two, spinning off Mondelez in 2012 as the higher-growth, international snack company that she chose to lead.
