Boiler helps improve efficiency at spring water bottling plant

With demand for bottled cooler water increasing, the Fillongley Spring Water bottling facility needed a new bottling line. However, with its two existing boilers not having the capacity to reach the target temperature for the new plant's washing line, the company set out to find alternative steam raising solutions. Commenting on the search, Martin Whitehead, technical and quality manager at Fillongley Spring Water, said: "We looked at several alternatives -including vertical and horizontal firetube boilers - but, with advice from our main contractors and installer, a decision to specify one of Fulton's recently-launched VSRT-30 steam boilers was taken and, overall, the results have exceeded expectations."
