Most new visitors to the garden centre in Dragstrup, Denmark, can't believe their eyes when they notice among leaves and flowers a 'real' Messcrschmitt Bf 110 from the World War Two. Well, not exactly real, because it is mainly a reproduction, but one that features many original parts and is something of an eye-opener all the same! With the subtle illumination and the surrounding artefacts - vehkles and uniformed 'personnel' - you are 'transported' back in time to a military airfield somewhere in Germany towards the end of the war, with a Bf 110 on alert for a night-fighter mission. From a radio in the nearby 'HQ' comes a soft but steady stream of messages from the various fronts, interspersed with stirring marching music. The sense of reality is enforced by the smell which conies from the damp greenhouse environment and leads your thoughts to the often very primitive conditions under which the Luftwaffe operated in those days.
