On the last day of August - two days after this magazine is published -Avro Vulcan B.2 XH558 will roll out of her hangar at Bruntingthorpe, Leics - in accordance with long-established plans. She will be greeted by all who have worked on her, trustees of the Vulcan to the Sky Trust, members of the Vulcan to the Sky Club, well-wishers, the press and sundry others. It should be a joyous occasion, but this very act could mark the end of the world's most ambitious return-to-flight project.
