'Kiwis' over Korea

For the fourth time in her history, in June 1950 New Zealand committed her armed forces to a foreign war. She would be one of 16 UN member nations to send combat contingents. The New Zealand Army and Navy both quickly deployed to play their part. Although no Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) squadrons were deployed, several 'Kiwi' airmen served in British and Australian units in Korea, as had happened during the two world wars, and there were even a few who joined US formations.
