Spending much of its life flying newspapers around the UK, Hawker Siddeley HS.748 G-ORAL carried proudly the name The Paper Plane on its nose. With its flying days over, this twin turboprop faced the scrapman's axe earlier this year. North-west based enthusiast Mike Davey managed to secure the aircraft's cockpit section and earlier this year it was moved to Hooton Park on the Wirral where it is kept courtesy of the Hooton Park Trust. Built at Woodford, near Manchester, in 1977, it served initially with Trinidad and Tobago Air Services before moving in 1980 to British West Indian Airways.
