The lensman who took our dramatic front cover this month is Vicenza-born Luigino Caliaro who has been taking air-to-air photos for over a decade. His work has graced many books and a barrage of magazines, including our sister journal, AirForces Monthly. In Legendary Warbirds (Edizione Gribaudo, 196pp, illus, hbk, Euro 29.00) he has assembled some of his images in a high-quality landscape album with Italian and English text. As well as a large selection of air-to-airs - including Lancaster PA474 Phantom of the Ruhr -there are period black and whites and a pleasing number of detail and cockpit shots. An impressive package.
