After considerable restoration work in the US, Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-3 'Black 3' 2219 is heading for Norway. The 1942-built fighter had crashed in Kongsfjord, Norway, on August 10, 1942, and was salvaged in 1986.rnA team from the Norwegian Aviation Museum at Bodo arrived at the White 1 Foundation's hangar in Kissimmee, Florida, on March 10, to beginrnpacking up the aircraft for shipment to Europe. It was due to leave the workshop by mid-March and should be in Norway a month or so later. Once at its new home in Norway, engineers will continue the excellent work carried out by Mark Timken and the team in Florida. 'Black 3' will then go on static display at Bode.
