Stranraer Recovered In Canada

Substantial remains of Supermarine Stranraer 915 have been recovered by members of the Shearwater Aviation Museum from the Belize Inlet, British Columbia, Canada. The flying-boat's wreckage had been donated to the group by salvage business proprietor Bill Thompson, of Pender Harbour, British Columbia. This aircraft served with the RCAF until 1945, when it was sold to Queen Charlotte Airways as CF-BYJ. It crashed in 1949.
