Hangar 11 Collection's newly-restored Hawker llb Hurricane BE505' (G-HHII) made the move from Hawker Restoration's Suffolk workshop to its owner's North Weald base on January 15. A specialist transport company supplied two low loaders, one to carry the fighter-bomber's fuselage and a wing, and the other a wing and the propeller. Low trees and cables ensured that the first mile out of the village was stressful! Since the aircraft's arrival in Essex, the wings have been fitted and all the controls connected. Undercarriage retraction tests have been completed, along with the final engine run.
