Jerry Yagen's Dragon Rapide was built for the RAF as a Dominie aircrew trainer by Brush Coachworks at Loughborough, Leics, as HG724 in 1944. It was taken on charge at 18 Maintenance Unit at Dumfries, Scotland, on March 18,1944. On February 4,1945, it was issued to de Havilland, via the Controller, Research and Development's office for trials work of an unknown nature. This was brought to a halt by an accident recorded on August 28,1946 which necessitated repair, very likely by its manufacturer. Work complete, HG724 was transferred to 5 MU at Kemble, Glos, on February 21,1947 for disposal.
