Readers will be deeply saddened to learn of the death of co-founder of the Yorkshire Air Museum, Ian Robinson mbe on October 13. Following a stroke, Ian died peacefully with his family around him. With much pride, Ian presided at the launch of his book Wome is the Halifax on September 13. We featured the book in the November issue with the title taken from what so many people called him: 'Mr Halifax'. The words in that article must now stand as our tribute to an inspiring and determined man. The museum at Elvington, Halifax Friday the 13th and now the book all serve as vivid reminders of his place within UK aviation heritage.
