Lockheed PV-2D Harpoon N6657D made its first flight since April 1994 on October 3, having been stored on a ranch in Northern California for several years. The third from final Harpoon built, it never saw Navy service having been flown into storage at Naval Air Station Litchfield Park, Arizona, with only seven hours of flight time logged. Converted to civilian use in the 1960s, the Harpoon was obtained by Taigh Ramey from Everts Air Fuel and flown to his Vintage Aircraft organisation in Stockton, California for restoration.
