De Havilland Tiger Moth DE730 was rolled out at Malta's Aviation Museum on February 10 following an extensive restoration. Built in 1942, the biplane is the first aircraft the museum has restored to full flying status.rnAs some 2,300ft (700m) remain of the old runway at Ta'Qali, the former airfield where the museum is based, the Tiger Mot-h could theoretically take-off - but only if museum authorities can overcome administrative hurdles and make arrangements for the removal of a low wall.rnAcguired from the UK in 2000, the majority of the engineering work on the Tiger was carried out under the direction of David Polidano. The overhaul was largely funded by donations.
