In the Tangmere Lightning feature in the April issue, the article says: "Outside vision, using a small TV camera moving over miniature scenery, was considered but not pursued". As a pupil of Hellesdon School visiting Coltishall, I clearly remember watching a pilot enter a Lightning cockpit simulator. Asking the controller why the pilot looked so unhappy with the schoolchildren around, the reply was that he had to pass to keep flying and had already failed once. Over to the left was a very large three dimensional model over which a small camera moved. It had a rail on both sides and a joining bar on which the camera was mounted.
