Atlantic crossing awaits Swiss Junkers

Just over 80 years after the first flight of the Junkers Ju 52/3m, one such machine is to make the type's first crossing of the Atlantic Ocean this month. Swissair's Ju 52 6595 HB-HOT has been specially adapted to undertake the trip. Eight 150-litre (33 gallon) fuel drums will replace the passenger seats in the cabin.
