No Bristol Beaufort has flown in the last 65 years and very few have survived. None of those extant were built in the UK, all came from the Department of Aircraft Production factory at Fisherman's Bend, Victoria, Australia, and were made for the RAAF. At a workshop in Queensland, Ralph Cusack is returning one of these rare survivors to flight. This ambitious project had its genesis over two decades ago in an industrial shed at Brisbane's Eagle Farm, not far from the city's international airport.
