Memorial sought for Wellington crew

A fund-raising campaign has been launched to create a memorial in Petten, the Netherlands, to a Vickers Wellington crew. Manned by Czech airmen of 311 Squadron, Wellington Mk.lc T2553 'KX-B'took off from East Wretham, Norfolk, on December 28,1941. Its crew consisted of pilots Sgt Alois Siska and Sgt Josef Tomanek, navigator Fg Off Josef Mohr, wireless operator Fg Off Josef Scerba, and gunners Sgt Pavel Svoboda and Sgt Rudolf Skalicky.
