A team from Lockwood Aviation disassembled a rare Yakovlev Yak-3 that had been on display with the Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force at Camarillo, California, on January 28. The aircraft was on secondment here while its homernat the Museum of Flying at Santa Monica was being re-developed.rnThe Museum of Flying is now preparing to open its new facility. A vintage hangar has been extensively modernised and upgraded to house its aircraft, including the Yak-3.
