Spitfire damaged

Supermarine Spitfire PR.XIX PS853 (G-RRGN) was damaged whilst landing at East Midlands Airport, near Derby, on January 7. The fighter, which is owned by Rolls-Royce, appears to have suffered an undercarriage problem on the runway after landing. The pilot is said to have been unhurt. The airport's main runway was closed for around two hours after the incident.
