Lambeth fighters move to Duxford

The latest aircraft to be moved from the Imperial War Museum London to Duxford, Cambs, are Supermarine Spitfire la R6915, which arrived on December 13, with North American P-51D Mustang 44-73979 following on the 21st. The 1940-built Spitfire first flew on July 11,1940, and was acquired by the IWM in August 1946. The Mustang is painted to represent 44-72258 Big Beautiful Doll.
