Oldest German F-4F Phantom to be preserved

McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantom 37+01 has been earmarked for preservation at JG 71's headquarters in Wittmund, Germany. Phantom 37+01 was the first of its type delivered to the Luftwaffe, and also made the F-4F's last operational flight in German hands on June 29, 2013. Painted in a distinctive livery to mark its retirement, the jet has been in storage since completing its final flight.
