The RAF Museum has received a grant of £898,558 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for the creation of 'The First World War In The Air.' This major new exhibition, elements of which will be featured at both its London and Cosford sites, will give visitors an insight into the role of air power during World War One through the stories of those who took part. A four-year project, it will begin by exploring the development of military aviation, and end in 2018 by celebrating the birth of the RAF.
