Mossie crewman

I read David Coeshall's letter [November issue] with interest. I can identify one of the pilots in the photo. Standing on the right of the group is Flight Sergeant (later Squadron Leader) Chick Kirkham. Chick was a very experienced flight instructor and for some years a Central Flying School 'Trapper' [examiner]. I knew him at Valley in the 1970s when he was the senior standardisation pilot on the Hunter. He was mild-mannered and apparently easy-going, but the sort of chap who never missed a thing, as many candidates for re-qualification found to their cost!
