Armistice Airline

I was particularly interested in the article mentioned on the November issue's cover called 'Armistice Airline', as I knew it would be about my grandfather's unit. I have been researching my family history and I already knew my paternal grandfather to have been a pilot in World War One. A visit to the RAF Museum at Hendon had cleared up many questions I had about this ancestor and some work on his logbooks (the originals are at the RAFM and I have photocopies) showed him flying for 1 Communications Squadron. The entries cover several pages and show him flying several of the aircraft listed in the article, and several more. Passengers include Lords Birkenhead and what looks like the name 'Crail'. Goods carried also include "Copies of Peace Treaty".
