Museum in 2014

Although much of the former flying station has been lost over the years, the National Trust did receive permission to restore the remaining wartime buildings and the sick quarters at Defford in December 2005. These structures are situated at the entrance to the Landscape Park close to the archway known as 'Marble Arch' and contain artefacts and memorabilia relating to the station and the work of the TRE/TFU. Liaising closely with the National Trust is the Defford Airfield Heritage Group, which is working towards the establishment of the RAF Defford Museum during 2014.
